Tuesday Club

St Michael’s Church has launched a weekly Tuesday Club from 10.30am to 12.30pm in collaboration with Age UK Bucks in the Mark Bulman Parish Room, St Michael’s Church, Steeple Claydon.

All senior citizens are invited as well as carers interested in Age UK Bucks services.

Tuesday Club offers a new way to catch up with friends or to meet new people for a friendly chat over hot drinks, cakes and biscuits.   In the future, we plan to invite guest speakers, and there may be opportunities to play games, sing songs and listen to gentle live music, but there’s no obligation to join in!

In addition to the above, we hope to have an Age UK Bucks Representative on site to advise on welfare benefits, care and other issues if you’re feeling lonely or need some practical help and support.

The Parish is also working with Age UK Bucks to combat loneliness through their Befriending Services.  Those who attend Tuesday Club can register for additional support via weekly telephone calls or face to face visits – to complement our existing pastoral services in the Parish.
